Not running Sanders wasn’t out of fear of losing. It was out of fear that his administration would bite the hands that feed them i.e. banks, insurance companies and Big Pharma. The party is a giant corporate whore that occasionally half-heartedly panders to the social left with empty gestures.

I’m sure every single candidate independently came to the conclusion that Joe “Where am I?” Biden was the best candidate. And I’ve got some beach front property in Montana to sell you.
The DNC decided Joe was their guy a while ago. Bernie’s popularity + Joe’s horrific performances put that in question but it was nothing that consolidating the endorsements of every other candidate couldn’t fix.

Not running Sanders wasn’t out of fear of losing. It was out of fear that his administration would bite the hands that feed them i.e. banks, insurance companies and Big Pharma. The party is a giant corporate whore that occasionally half-heartedly panders to the social left with empty gestures.
You guys are stunningly naive.
You guys not acknowledging party politics and the factor they play is a nice, rosy view but it’s also horseshit.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

Re: Random Political Comments
Sure candidates drop out and can say “support Biden” but ultimately that doesn’t guarantee shit as evidenced by the fact that you (and other Bernie Sanders supporters) are now saying you won’t support Biden even though Bernie has explicitly said defeating Trump is the top priority. It’s not like they get to take their votes and hand them to the other guy. Deals and machinations are all there in politics but if Bernie appealed to more people and ran a better campaign then he’d be the guy. He didn’t, they didn’t vote for him, and here we are with a centrist boring old man again. But I’d take boring over 4 more years of a Trump.

and if biden appeals to more people than trump, and looks like he actually is capable of leading, then he'll be the guy. then he'll get the votes.showa58taro wrote:but if Bernie appealed to more people and ran a better campaign then he’d be the guy.

Re: Random Political Comments
I mean, Trump had to hold back because Hilary was a woman. I feel bad for Biden's family, actually.
Re: Random Political Comments
so it's up to the dnc to find and support better candidates, or at least make the ones they do have appealing to the voters. but the voters are going to get the blame for not voting someone who looks like he's incapable of leading.showa58taro wrote:100%. Biden is capable of leading. He’s shown more leadership during this pandemic than the entire federal government because they are inept bullshit merchants. And he has no power right now.zombie wrote:so it's up to the dnc to find and support better candidates, or at least make the ones they do have appealing to the voters. but the voters are going to get the blame for not voting someone who looks like he's incapable of leading.showa58taro wrote:100%.
