NBA 2017 - 2018

All sports. We don't even mind if its women's Curling or junior badminton. Although we won't have strong opinions on the latter.

Why did you want them to win so badly, last night...

I pull hard for teams to beat teams I don't like, especially in the playoffs. Rooted hard for the Jags and Titans in the playoffs this year against Scum, but they couldn't pull it off. Rooted hard for the Cubs in the NLCS last year, but they couldn't do it twice in a row. Sometimes the loss will change how I view those specific teams over the next couple of years or so.

I like Jacksonville even more for that stunning performance they put on against New England in the AFC Championship. They deserved the win, but fell short, however, I have an issue with Atlanta now, because of the way they completely choked away the Super Bowl last year. When this happens, I want no part of that team anywhere near the playoffs, so when they made it last year I was annoyed and rooted for every team they played to beat them. Thankfully Philly did, which I expected them to. A similar situation happened last year with the Diamondbacks in baseball. They are a division rival of the Rockies, but they are a good team and I've always enjoyed watching them play. Last season's NL West big three were all three deserving of a full game series, but two teams were shafted and had to play each other in a one game playoff, and it happened to be the Rockies and Diamondbacks in an excellent game that saw the Rockies put up 8-runs against a Greinke-led team, only to see the Diamondbacks extend the lead every time Colorado made a comeback. One of the best games of the entire post season. It was like nobody could beat the D-Backs that night, they played the game of their lives, and I wasn't even (that) mad at them. Now I'm rooting hard for them to go in and win the series against the Dodgers to advance to the NLCS... Then they go out and pull a complete dud and get swept, commit bonehead errors, look like total amateurs and essentially punch the Dodgers' ticket to the pennant for them. Now I am very mad at Arizona. I am even more annoyed with them right now, because they just swept the Dodgers in a 3-game series.

Moral: It's fun finding your own dumb ass reasons to root for neutral teams.

It's fun to find reasons to root for neutral teams, but none come close to putting money on it. Gambling makes me care about the whole landscape of leagues on a day to day basis. There is no substitute and you feel it when covering in the last minute feels like a 50/50 proposition.

Hallelujah! One win away from the playoffs with only Miami and Memphis to get through.

I just want one win. Is that too much to ask. Fucking Spurs.

The standings this year are fucking insane. 4 teams on 46 and 2 on 45 with only a couple games left. Ridiculous.

Rockies win in a walk off, Nuggets crush Clippers in L.A. (shoulda went, dammit!) and the Avalanche secure a playoff spot in the last game of the NHL season.

Great night to be a Colorado sports fan!

The referees are blatantly screwing the Nuggets badly in this 2nd quarter. Gonna cost them a fucking playoff spot. Why in the blue hell do I put up with this sport?

Jesus Christ. So god damn blatant. Nuggets pulling through the blatant shitty officiating to stay alive in the fucking playoff race. Crucial review with less than a minute in the 4th. Nurkic knocked the ball out of Jokic's hand out of bounds, went to review. CLEARLY off Nurkic, but they call it off Jokic, Blazer ball with a chance to tie, but they don't tie it. Nuggets prevail (barely) despite OBVIOUS biased officiating.

Piece of shit officials.

Your guys managed to the win anyway. As did OKC, clinching a playoff spot. 22 point win over Miami. Pretty amazing considering they didn't make a basket for more than 7 minutes into the game, aside from free throws.

At least they're writing articles about the shitty officiating. Although the entire second quarter was worse and went unmentioned.

RIP Nuggz. Can't watch the game, since ESPN decided to show the meaningless Bucks game where they are getting annihilated 60-27.

Two games out of 3rd place, and are likely missing the playoffs. Unreal.

Last quarter of the last regular season game and Brewer goes down with a sprained knee. :o
Portland needs to win tonight to give OKC home court advantage.

Today has been a pretty godawful day for me. That can be remedied a bit with a Denver OT win to make it to the playoffs. However, the Denver Nuggets going down as one of the greatest teams ever to not make the playoffs just sounds way too fitting to end this shitty fucking day.
