Do I put 83 or 2020?
Deborah Foreman in here too :))
Can't believe how crystal clear this is. 4k quality
Louise Fletcher and John Rhys-Davies. Gotta be a cool story about this movie somewhere
There's this: "Charlie Sheen turned down the lead role of Daniel LaRusso in the film "The Karate Kid" (1984) in order to be in this film." Win some and absolutely shit the bed with some.
Unbelievable if that's true. This has been chopped to shit so maybe he knew something we don't about the original plan for it.
It was a fucked production, say the least. "The day after George Clooney, Laura Dern, and Charlie Sheen arrived in Hungary to start shooting their scenes for the film, its co-producer, Joe Proctor, told his fellow co-producer, Suzanne G. Nagy, that there was no more money to make it. He left 30 minutes later, abandoning 300 people that were already on the set to their fates." Nice guy!
I knew there was cool back story here, it had to be!! "Busted flat in Budapest waiting on a train"

Had to suffer through The Lure (2015) so am finishing the night off with Friday the 13th Part VII.

I remember having a decent time with this one the last time I saw it (October 30th, 2020, for anyone interested :P), so looking forward to seeing it again.
For my thoughts on the horror films I've seen, please look here: https://jigsawshorrorcorner.wordpress.com/

I don't see why it was made that way. Could've been in order and wouldn't have changed a damn thing.

Except the complete misdirection of who's who, which provides a good commentary on who we give the benefit of the doubt. It allows the viewer to realize they were wrong in judging, rather than seeing the whole thing unfold as it was. It's like getting the details AFTER you gave judgement.

But you find out before the halfway mark anyway, so it's not like it's a huge twist or something. If it was in order, you'd find out maybe ten minutes earlier? Not worth jumbling shit up for that.

I'll just disagree, I enjoyed having it unfold like that, and made it more engaging.

Hmmmm. A lot of people bring up Jack Torrrance reading the Playgirl magazine when Ulman comes out to greet him after driving back up with his family, but I just noticed he casually dropped the magazine in the chair and walked away. Like it was casual reading the hotel had around. I'm thinking it reflects more on the magazines The Overlook keeps around, knocking what kind sex party shenanigans they have lol, rather than something Jack brought.

Been awhile, but I remember enjoying it. My copy is called the Outing, though. Dunno if it's just a title difference, or if the release has different edits.
