Robin Hood (2018)

Pure anachronistic nonsense. But oh so entertaining.

So far. Left it at 2 episodes, I wasn't in a bingeing mood.

Helter Skelter (1976)

3-hour, 14-minute, made-for-TV mini-series. I'm about an hour in and it's really interesting. Everything so far has taken place after the murders. I've only seen Helter Skelter from 2004, which is a remake of this, but I'm pretty sure I remember the events unfolding in that movie.

The older we get, the more empathy we have. Really bummed about Sharon Tate and her pals, and the LaBiancas...

It's ok but not up to the high standards of the first 3 in my opinion

i think the main issue, at least for me, is that the villainy needed to be more villainous and sinister than it was. but maybe when i see it again, other things will stand out too.

Are Coco and Inside Out the only original Pixar films made in recent years? Those was great. Pixar's at its best when things are new and fresh. Until the 2010s, no studio was making great films as consistently as they were.

Looks like the director of Up and Inside Out has one coming out next year. That will be one to circle.

Inside Out is probably the most mature/thoughtful stuff Pixar has done, but also a lot of fun, really clever in its world building and an overall great movie. One of my favorites, along with Up, Ratatouille and Toy Story 3.

i think that up and wall-e are my favorites of the ones that haven't become franchises. cars is the most disappointing of all their films i've seen.

The Cars movies suck but they'll keep making them because all the merchandising is a HUGE cash cow for them. Kids love the cars.
