Giving The Last Voyage of the Demeter a go. Trailer didn't impress me much, but hoping at least for a solid atmosphere.

At almost two hours, there better be something worth it in here. :P

I don't think she was equipped with the kinda cans needed for the role so like Dirk Diggler they hooked her up

Exposition is lacking pretty hard, but everything else has been pretty good. I know it's a quiet movie, but a little more context of what exactly's going on would be nice. Hopefully we can get some before the conclusion.

Exactly. I mean, you just have to look at her in anything else and you'd know it was fake. I just assumed they used a body double and did some cg shit, but I guess fake boobs have progressed to the point that wasn't necessary.

Just finished it myself. Curious as to your thoughts once you're done. :thumb:

Other than the fact that it just seems to drag its runtime out and the bad CGI skylines, it seems pretty decent. Not as good as this director's other movies that I've seen, other than maybe Scary Stories. Troll Hunter's kind of a high bar to top, for me.

About to start up Gods of the Deep (2023).

IMDb gives a runtime of an hour and 37 minutes, whereas Letterboxd gives 80 mins. On Amazon Prime, it's 78 minutes. :P

Not sure where the discrepancy comes from, but 78's close enough to Letterboxd's 80, so I'll take it.

I'm seeing that hour and 37 minute runtime listed other locations, so I am curious, but whateves.

That whole 3rd act was a let down. Were they trying to set up a sequel that's just contradict the latter events in Dracula? I was hoping for a good no-survivors scenario.
