I was the opposite in that Late Night actually cooled off on me after my first viewing. I was alone in a theater when I first saw it and didn't know what I was expecting. It cooled off, but not much. It's still in the 8s.

At least The Mean One tried with the material even if the reasoning for the story made no sense.

Mouse Trap was just a basic slasher and they changed everything to make it work within the boundaries of Mickey and failed miserably.

it feels like they took some inspiration from the godfather of gore. but maybe i'm reading into that that isn't there.
