I really enjoyed that one the last few times I saw it. I distinctly recall thinking that the movie should have been longer, but it's been some time since I saw it last. Hopefully it stands up reasonably well.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:John Carpenter's Vampires

Re: What are you watching?
It was a production that was notorious for actually intending to be bigger, but budget was slashed in half so it got scaled down. I enjoy it quite a bit, and it's pretty influential in my book. Though In The Mouth Of Madness is the better film, Vampires is the more rewatchable from JC out of the 90's.Jigsaw wrote:I really enjoyed that one the last few times I saw it. So Alien is about class systems and feelings of guilt from a patriarchal society. Where do they get these fucking people?Monster wrote:Memory: Origins of Alien

I have no issue with folks applying their own views to movies, it's art, we see what we want to see, but I hate when they feed us this shit as though it's what the filmmakers intended.

I wouldn't waste perfectly good shame on that flick.Jigsaw wrote:Here's one of my biggest shames: I've never seen the original Salem's Lot.

YEah, when I saw that one announced, I thought it was a left turn. Not because it's not horror, but didn't really feel like sleaze or exploitive either lol.
Re: What are you watching?
OG Maniac is the other film with guest Tom Savini. I'm saving that one for tonight
