It was a production that was notorious for actually intending to be bigger, but budget was slashed in half so it got scaled down. I enjoy it quite a bit, and it's pretty influential in my book. Though In The Mouth Of Madness is the better film, Vampires is the more rewatchable from JC out of the 90's.

I have no issue with folks applying their own views to movies, it's art, we see what we want to see, but I hate when they feed us this shit as though it's what the filmmakers intended.

YEah, when I saw that one announced, I thought it was a left turn. Not because it's not horror, but didn't really feel like sleaze or exploitive either lol.
