Re: Jason's Random Political Comments
China just fucking owned Trump. Which is in itself bad news.
Re: Jason's Random Political Comments
China has absolutely zero leverage. China is a paper palace, house of cards. They know it, everyone knows it. They have been manipulating currency for yeeeeears and Trump is bringing that to the forefront and to a hault with his hardline stance on the issue. If China loses the U.S. as a trade partner, they are in MASSIVE trouble, and they know it, and Trump knows it. Give it a couple more months, China will bend and the U.S. will win (again).

I have a love-hate relationship with some of Steven Crowder's overall content, but this is absolutely liquid gold...

Guess he should have stuck with “God bless the Unitrrr Schayshh” Trump style.
Maybe whilst visiting the latest tragic shooting in Toledo.
Like, if gaffes and stupid fucking lines are of interest Trump is a walking cavalcade of flangers, dumb lines, lies and stupid. It seems weird to care if Biden is making the odd minor miscue.

Also, read the article I linked to. Or read about how Trump is going down a road even those who encouraged it are now trying to dissuade him. The whole premise is absurd, China doesn’t break at tariffs your consumers are paying. There’s no upside to this course of action and no deal around the corner.Jason wrote:China has absolutely zero leverage. China is a paper palace, house of cards. They know it, everyone knows it. So is he a puppet or not? I mean, if he's going down a road people are telling him not to go down, he must not be a puppet.showa58taro wrote:Also, read the article I linked to. 30 seconds to make up your mind, good luck. *Jeopardy theme*
Trump's fundamental, central premise has always been that China is a currency manipulator. And now he got them to deliberately devalue their currency, proving him right. This also shows that his tariffs are actually biting and having an impact on China, Seb. China did break, in that regard. This could have another potential backfiring on China where investors begin fleeing from China. China is now micromanaging and devaluing its own economy. Meaning, if I'm investing in China, I am now backing away from them. How do I know the Chinese won't nationalize my factory and tell me to fuck off if they're willing to openly devalue their own currency in a trade war?
In quicker, simpler terms: China has been devaluing its currency for DECADES, levies tariffs on U.S. goods to protect its own economy, and then expects the U.S. to take that in the bum and do absolutely nothing in response. Which is exactly how it's been... until we elected a president who doesn't have his head up his ass (hint: apprentice). The U.S. may take a hit for the short term, but they have complete and total advantage, and it is totally worth taking a short term hit for long term winning. China is in some shit, and they know it. Devaluing their currency in broad daylight was a defensive strategy, not an offensive strategy.

True, you did. But you've never had a laugh out loud moment for Trump's gaffes. So, you're just the other side of the coin that you bitch about, brother.Jason wrote:I said "whatevs"... Jeez... :ugeek:showa58taro wrote:Guess he should have stuck with “God bless the Unitrrr Schayshh” Trump style.

Huh. My head went directly to the Clinton-Hit-Squad before thinking about Trump.
