They even said this was the quickest they've ever charged a fellow officer. Wtf. No wonder why people are rioting.

it's something other than just fascism. they mention another cnn crew, blocks away, not being arrested. so something else is going on. either way, this needs to be taken seriously. reform in some actual way needs to be implemented within the police force.

no, there is no "must be okay with communities being killed with zero recourse". people are capable of all sorts of different points of view. don't try to make it black and white.
I find rioting and looting an acceptable action in this case. Period. Obviously you don't, and, if I read correctly, would preferred it more focused to the cops. Would it be okay for people to storm a police precinct and tear gas all the cops while they're pleading they can't breath? I'd be totally fine with that, and if that's what you'd prefer over looting multi-million dollar companies, I'm down with that vision.

Violence begats violence, and if the police only understand violence, violence is a perfectly acceptable reaction.

i think it should be focused on what you're trying to change. that's all.

if you're trying to bring change to abuse of police power, protest the police, fight the police. if you're trying to change multi-million dollar companies, protest the companies, fight the companies.

You also supported the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

Rioters and looters are just as bad or worse than that officer. Period.

How you define "fight" is what I'm most interested in. "Fight" as in peaceful protest/bring attention to it, or "fight" as in bring a big stick and beat the thug asses of cops? Because I'm cool with both in this situation.

Worst take ever. The cop is clearly worse, and if you can't see that, you're either an idiot or wrong. Probably both.

well, i'm not going to justify or recommend anything violent. but if you're gonna do it, don't be sloppy. focus on what you're actually trying to change.

I stand with the protests, rioters, and looters. I'll always stand with them if they're dealing with an unjust system, which they clearly are. I don't see how that's a problem, and I feel no regret at all for my position.

I don't disagree, but focus is hard to come by when there is a rightful wildfire of rage being spread, and obviously, there's no central group there telling people where to riot/loot and where not too. If there was, I doubt it'd be successful, but then the blame goes on the society for causing that situation to begin with and not the people taking action in the only way they know how, even if it isn't productive to their cause.

Wellsir, how many lives were, and our continuing to be, destroyed by these looters and rioters stealing and assaulting innocent people who stand in their way? It's only a matter of time before an innocent bystander is murdered by these animals.

i just hope that you and i never have to face that "rightful wildfire" like some of the innocent citizens of minneapolis are right now. i guess i'll just have to leave it there.
