I dig it, not who I would've considered, and don't mind that he's 5'9" considering it's going to be special Fx manifestation to make him taller in his Hellspawn Knight form anyway.

i could be onboard. it depends if he takes the role seriously. he's pretty solid, when he wants to be. i'm more concerned about mcfarlane directing. maybe i'd feel better if i knew whether he had experience somewhere to make it work.

Yeah, I have concerns of McFarlane directing too. I know he'll do great putting the camera where it needs to be, he was...like...the best artist during the 90's at doing exactly that, but him handling actors...untested. I also hope he doesn't have narration, because he can be overly wordy when it comes to narration/voice over.

he wrote the script, i think? so unless he has a really good editor, it's probably gonna get wordy. but it's supposed to be more of a horror film. and that may help to put him in check, if he wants to build any kind of tense atmosphere.

supposedly he promised the role to foxx somewhere along the way too. probably when he was still more of an a-list guy.

From what I read, mostly from the Toddfather (as he calls himself) in his own posts, he met Foxx 5 years ago and Foxx brought up the idea, so he rewrote his script again, with Foxx in mind, then he was Todd's first choice when Blumhouse picked it up. He had to reapproach Foxx because they weren't in touch during that time, but it's not like Foxx has anything heavy going, plus probably wants to pull an Affleck and redeem a disappointing Comic Book turn (even the bad reviews for BvS pointed out that Affleck was good in it).

Has Jamie Foxx ever appeared short in a movie since he has become a star? I like Jamie Foxx, but I think they could have went younger and less known. Hopefully they can leave out the "hell yeah!" lines during his power discovery scenes.

I didn't think he appeared short before he was a star. I was actually surprised he was 5'9". He must be a lift-wearer.
