And wouldn't it say "Bandwidth exceeded" if I... you know... exceeded bandwidth?

It flat out says "3rd party hosting".

Photobucket is about to fuck over everyone. I deleted about 100 pictures and still nothing.

I prefer IMGur over tinypic. But they have that same issue where I'm just not sure if they'll delete an image after a year or two.

did you set up an account or just using their main page? I'd assume the stuff on the main page gets deleted but images in accounts don't? Ah, well, I'll find out.

For tinypic, I don't have an account. I just use the quick host option.

yeah I'd assume those get deleted after a while. I set up an account, so we'll see in a year's time if they get deleted too or not :P

also, the magic gif was giving me the option to save it, so I don't know what Z's doing wrong :P

It is official. I looked more into the situation and photobucket is now locking all accounts and preventing them from posting images anywhere. Unless you give them 400 dollars. Slimy pieces of shit.

A comment from someone who's having the same issues...

Unfortunately, here is the answer they gave me. Unless you give them money, they will not unlock your links. Also, I don’t think the first of the 3 plans will work. I think they require you to use the most expensive one which is $400 a year.

"Thanks for emailing us. Your images have been replaced with the “Look who’s popular” icon because you have used 100% of your bandwidth. Your account has been restricted for excessive usage and 3rd party hosting. In order to restore your account, please upgrade to a Plus 500 subscription.

Please note that your bandwidth limit is not related to your photo storage limit – they are two different things. Your storage limit is related to how many images/videos you’re uploading to Photobucket.com. Your bandwidth limit gauges how many times someone has viewed your image.

Click here to learn more about bandwidth.

You can remove this bandwidth cap by subscribing to a Plus 500 subscription. Plus 500 users get 500 GB of storage, unlimited linking, and unlimited 3rd party hosting benefits. To upgrade to a Plus 500 account, click your username and click on ‘Get More’ above your storage limit bar. Once you’ve completed your purchase, please email us back so we can update your account."

I just created a tinypic account just now, but I saved it when we got this site up and running again (because I couldn't remember my password so when I did, I went in and clicked the "Download album" option and saved it as a .zip file to my comp. Haven't added anything new since then.

yes. it compiles them into a .zip file. that file gets saved to your computer. You click extract all and it puts all the pictures in a file, ready to be used again.

Downloaded twice, and it's downloading 396 of the 436 needed. No idea which ones it's deciding to leave out.

Is it possible to hate anything more than photobucket?
