All of those would make good threads in a more general themed forum.showa58taro wrote:That was my point about revisiting these in November and removing non-starters. It looks odd to me to have tons of not often used subsections.Tiggnutz wrote:I would do away with all the movie specific forums and make them more general like Vampire, Zombie, slasher, Creature features, and so on. How many threads are we expecting in a Phantasm or Texas Chainsaw Massacre forum? Everything related to each would fill out one thread. I think it would appeal more to new visitors if there were not so many barren forums in the most important section the Horror section.

But we have already established we don’t have those anymore.

We didn't have those when we first started OG HMF either.showa58taro wrote:But we have already established we don’t have those anymore.

Re: Make this site Horror
Exactly what? We had nothing in OG HMF, and turned it into something. Over that decade-plus span, the movie themed forums severely outnumbered the general themed forums in activity. No reason to change that now.showa58taro wrote:Exactly mate, exactly.Jason wrote:We didn't have those when we first started OG HMF either.showa58taro wrote:But we have already established we don’t have those anymore.

And? We had to make HMF 2 from scratch...

and we had to move. everything had to be made from scratch again. i'm not sure i get what you're trying at?showa58taro wrote:Yes but we already made those from scratch once.Jason wrote:Exactly what? HMF Movie Themed Forums
6 boards, 803 topics, 24,254 posts
HMF General Themed Forums
11 boards, 827 topics, 21,344
No reason to get rid of the movie themed forums when they more than double the output of activity.

Well maybe add the ones above we don't have already. More of a better visual thing I think.

Re: Make this site Horror
We aren’t going to have pages of Jason X, NOES 3, TCM 2 or other discussions. Because whilst the board is gone, our discussion has been had and nobody cares about those anymore. So whilst it was true they were active back in the day they won’t be now, not with this group here.zombie wrote:and we had to move. everything had to be made from scratch again. i'm not sure i get what you're trying at?showa58taro wrote:Yes but we already made those from scratch once.Jason wrote:Exactly what? Re: Make this site Horror
that's a fair point. but i would prefer the board to be primarily horror, in whatever way that ended up as, rather than scrapping it because it may not get the activity that it once did.showa58taro wrote:We aren’t going to have pages of Jason X, NOES 3, TCM 2 or other discussions. Going the route you're going is now bringing the discussion back to horrormoviefans.com vs. news&politicsfans.com.

We want people to stay for horror not politics. I'm also fine discussing old shit with new people as long as its horror related.
