Re: January 24th 2025
I have an itch to blow some money and I was debating paying the extra 20 bucks for the Nosferatu steelbook on ebay but then I pissed myself off thinking about how these douches buy up all the releases until they're sold out and then try to make extra money by selling them online.
So I'm not doing it.
So I'm not doing it.

Re: January 24th 2025
And Juror #2 is a week or two away from getting a release and the pre-order is still 38.99 for a bluray. What in the fuck is going on with these ridiculous prices?

Re: January 24th 2025
Yeah, but it's a foreign import with their giant age rating thing all over the poster. I usually don't buy those unless there's only UK releases of something cool.
I've never seen a generic bluray + digital release that costs this much. Insanity. I demand answers.

Re: January 24th 2025
it's probably gonna come down right before the release, is my guess. but that is only a guess.Jason wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:25 pmYeah, but it's a foreign import with their giant age rating thing all over the poster. I usually don't buy those unless there's only UK releases of something cool.

I am a seasoned veteran when it comes to pre-ordering, keeping tabs on releases and overall blowing money on movies.zombie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:26 pmit's probably gonna come down right before the release, is my guess. but that is only a guess.Jason wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:25 pmYeah, but it's a foreign import with their giant age rating thing all over the poster. I hope you're right, but I've never seen a pre-order price get cheaper once it comes out.

Re: January 24th 2025
Shame Gremlins 2 bombed financially, but satire is always hard to sell (would do much better today, but back then, tough). Bloody brilliant movie, proving Joe Dante really is the perfect Looney Tunes director. I watch 2 far more often than one.Lazerus wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 10:40 am I just came across another article about a possible Gremlins 3 and Goonies sequel.
I've seen Goonies once, like a million years ago and don't recall much about it but I doubt a sequel is even necessary given the child actors are all grown. For me it's right there with Adventures in Babysitting or Don't Tell Mom the Baby Sitter is Dead. It was a one time watch only.
Gremlins 3 is another that I don't want. They should have done it sometime in the 90's but after the cluster that was part 2 I could care less. A remake would be a better idea and this time make it a true dark & gritty horror film. I love the original, it worked well but I would like to see a hardcore R rated straight horror version of the concept that takes itself more seriously.

Would be fair, 2 goes total gonzo chaos, leaning much heavier into the comedy, so 3 sways in the other direction.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 11:16 am I thought everyone liked The New Batch? But I like the idea of it going hardcore horror, in which I'd advocate a remake as the original 2 are supposed to have a more friendly charm, leave those intact.
I'd want Zach back. I know he'd be game too. It's Phoebe that would be tough to talk into it.

i see it happen all the time. that's what the price guarantee thing is for, so you don't get screwed if you buy early.Jason wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:32 pmI am a seasoned veteran when it comes to pre-ordering, keeping tabs on releases and overall blowing money on movies.zombie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:26 pmit's probably gonna come down right before the release, is my guess. but that is only a guess.Jason wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:25 pmYeah, but it's a foreign import with their giant age rating thing all over the poster.
