And tbh, the "Black community" is going extinct and it is pretty clear to those of us who live near poor areas that it is socio-economic at this point. Both correct in the scope of what they know, both views reflect their historical realities. European history is all aristocracy vs. everyone else. US History is all race.

Then last night I see that video of the three black people in the car flashing gang signs on facebook live when one "accidentally" gets shot in the head. You just wonder how things are still going so wrong, and I have to believe it is the destruction of the family unit.

They are set up to fail. Unemployable appearance and language skills. No culture of invention. Irresponsible reproduction. It is so sad.

You're not wrong about any of this. The community needs a total reinvention to escape this cycle. They've never gotten a break either. By the time the South's black population really escaped en masse (and "escape" really is the proper term), America all but declared its inner cities to be lost causes. It's a perfect storm of shitty circumstances.
