I thought Lights Out was decent, but The Babadook can like my crack.
The Babadook is perhaps easily one of the finest horror flicks in recent memory. People just dislike it because it's too deep for them.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:I thought Lights Out was decent, but The Babadook can like my crack.
Do I need to post my GIF again?Jigsaw wrote:The Babadook is perhaps easily one of the finest horror flicks in recent memory. People just dislike it because it's too deep for them.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:I thought Lights Out was decent, but The Babadook can like my crack.

I fail to see how a musical could ever qualify as a horror film. Horror themes(gore/violence)? Sure. But if people are singing fucking dialogue, any semblance of horror has gone out the window.zombie wrote:repo is a horror movie musical.

So not a horror movie.Jigsaw wrote:Repo is just as much as a horror flick as Hard Candy and Aliens is, IMHO
Definitely horror was the point I was going for.Slaughterhouserock wrote:So not a horror movie.Jigsaw wrote:Repo is just as much as a horror flick as Hard Candy and Aliens is, IMHO
Man, the sad part is, there's some real fuckers out there that think like that.Jigsaw wrote:The Babadook is perhaps easily one of the finest horror flicks in recent memory. People just dislike it because it's too deep for them.

Nah. It's less horror than that.Jigsaw wrote:Repo is just as much as a horror flick as Hard Candy and Aliens is, IMHO
Indeed. I liked The Babadook, one of the few here who did, but even I can name plenty of post-2010 horror flicks that I find better.Slaughterhouserock wrote:Man, the sad part is, there's some real fuckers out there that think like that.Jigsaw wrote:The Babadook is perhaps easily one of the finest horror flicks in recent memory. Funny.Jason wrote:Nah. It's less horror than that.Jigsaw wrote:Repo is just as much as a horror flick as Hard Candy and Aliens is, IMHO
I only vaguely remember Hard Candy, so I can't comment there, but Aliens is an sci-fi/action film.Jigsaw wrote:Definitely horror was the point I was going for.
i would ask how you define horror, but that probably won't help my case of being an actual fan.Slaughterhouserock wrote:I fail to see how a musical could ever qualify as a horror film. Oh I know. I've ranted in retaliation at one Halloween party because I said I didn't like it, and they started in with a "you just didn't get--" I cut them off, ranted exactly what the theme was, told them how cheap it was, how everything meant nothing, there was no danger, and all we got were two annoying as fuck characters I'll never forget...in the worst way possibleSlaughterhouserock wrote:Man, the sad part is, there's some real fuckers out there that think like that.Jigsaw wrote:The Babadook is perhaps easily one of the finest horror flicks in recent memory. I'm just being a dick.Jigsaw wrote:Funny.Jason wrote:Nah. It's less horror than that.Jigsaw wrote:Repo is just as much as a horror flick as Hard Candy and Aliens is, IMHO
Repo has been counted more than once as horror for the October Challenge, and I believe that no one has attempted to count either Hard Candy or Aliens.
I know. It's sad, but about 50% of the time, I expect that from you.Jason wrote:I'm just being a dick.Jigsaw wrote:Funny.Jason wrote:Nah. It's less horror than that.Jigsaw wrote:Repo is just as much as a horror flick as Hard Candy and Aliens is, IMHO

Fuck if I know how to define it, words have never been my strong suit. It's just fucking horror.zombie wrote:i would ask how you define horror, but that probably won't help my case of being an actual fan.
