Forgot my Hulu account still has commercials....this is annoying during movies. I assumed it was just at the start of the movie.
Damn. That's gonna cut deep into watch time.
Werd.

Now watching Hell Hole on Shudder.
Wasn't expecting a cameo from Anders Hove in the beginning lol.

Think I got my first dud new-watch with Hell Hole.
The writing reminds me of garbage I'd try to write when I was 12. The acting is atrocious, and the music is awkward and clunky. Sure, it's Metal-y but it's like a kid trying to hard with a d-tuned 7 string, not sure of where to put the chugs.

Hell House LLC is definitely worse every time I rewatch. I was considering going through all of them tonight because I can't really remember them, but I'm done after the first.
Check out Horror In The High Desert series instead.

Hell Hole was higher end dreck that an indie film maker churns out and ultimately lands on Tubi such as Brain Tumor.

I swear some of these scenes of them sitting around in this abandoned place look green screened. I don't know if it's a "soap opera" effect, or if some of these actors are just not shot at the same time for the scene so they're being inserted.
I've seen plenty worse, but I'm not seeing this approach the C range at all.

I've looked for decades (decades) for a laundry wicker basket that is exactly like the one in Basket Case, but to no avail.

Totally forgot about that beautiful shot of the twin towers in Basket Case.

I get more and more heartsick for the past as the 80s gets further and further away. There's just a charm about these older 70s and 80s horror movies that will never be matched again.

This jam at the end isn't too bad. Still out of place, but seemed like there was a coherent thought for 30 seconds.

II and The Beginning/Dominion luckily leave a pretty low bar.

I've got the theatrical version of The Exorcist queued up for the challenge at some point this month.
