Well, this pretty much sits with II and Beginning/Dominion. Not terrible, but doesn't live up to the anti-hype either. Better than most possession films lately, but that isn't saying much since most are garbage anyway. Probably would've been treated better had it not had "Excorcist" in the title.

Pretty much my thoughts. Very end was nice, movie overall just subpar but not the worst.

Haven't seen it yet, but I haven't heard anything good. I do like the first remake, though, which most people hate. I just see it as a different film altogether.

I liked the first remake too I watch it every couple years. This 2019 one is really stupid. My best description would be just plain stupid. Typical Blumhouse stinker
