No, but it is based on a short story by David H. Keller about a family that moves into a house with a monster in the cellar. The dad isn't abusive, but he is an asshole.

Also, the film is some z-grade shit. I haven't seen acting that bad in years and the editing was atrocious. Monster looked cool, though, so that's probably where all the budget went.

Love, Death, and Robots season 2. So far not as good as season 1, but the christmas episode is brilliant. I'd love to see a full film made out of that.

Not a great one by any means, but I guess it's worth watching if you need an 80's slasher fix and don't want to rewatch something.
