We clearly look for different things in QBs.

You're obviously highJason wrote:Pretty close. Won't argue it. Siemian would have five rings with New England too, so that is pretty irrelevant, though.Foo wrote:Gonna go out on a limb here and say your guy probably makes as many mistakes in a bad game as Brady makes in a good season.Jason wrote:A QB not even in the top ten has five ringz.

Re: NFL 2017 season
The only difference is recognizing the importance of the overall team. Players, coaches, systems, all make each other perform differently. In the case of N.E., they have a ferrari, and it is very nice. In the case of Denver, they have a pretty decent Chevy Aveo with a working engine, but the transmission is having major issues, it won't go past 2nd gear. A real shame. Not to mention the wheels fell off 7 games ago.showa58taro wrote:We clearly look for different things in QBs.
Put Betty White in the ferrari and Jeff Gordon in the Aveo. Who's gonna win a race to the next stoplight?
CONCLUSION
Re: NFL 2017 season
Or, Betty White gets confused, throws it in reverse and mows down half the crowd before slamming into a wall and turning the car into an inferno, while Jeff Gordon fixes the car and crosses the finish line.Jason wrote:The only difference is recognizing the importance of the overall team. Can someone photoshop Eli Manning into a Broncos jersey please? I need to see what that looks like.

Or, she puts it in first gear and cruises to an easy win. Lots of variables, aren't there?Foo wrote:Or, Betty White gets confused, throws it in reverse and mows down half the crowd before slamming into a wall and turning the car into an inferno, while Jeff Gordon fixes the car and crosses the finish line.Jason wrote:The only difference is recognizing the importance of the overall team. Re: NFL 2017 season
Of course, I would never say otherwise. It is also a truth that having a top QB pretty much guarantees 10-11 wins in the league. So having that makes it so much easier to have a good team. Your guy may have potential, but he is not playing like a top QB. The Broncos are getting dangerously close to being a tire fire, and hopelessness at QB certainly plays a big part of that.Jason wrote:Lots of variables, aren't there?Foo wrote:Or, Betty White gets confused, throws it in reverse and mows down half the crowd before slamming into a wall and turning the car into an inferno, while Jeff Gordon fixes the car and crosses the finish line.Jason wrote:The only difference is recognizing the importance of the overall team. Nah. Stafford is a top 1-3 QB and the Lions rarely get 11 wins.Foo wrote:Of course, I would never say otherwise. Uh, who puts Stafford in their top 3? In the 9 years he has been in the league, he has been to 1 Pro Bowl. that year, there were ten Pro Bowl QBs. TEN! Most years there are like 8 and he still doesn't make it.Jason wrote:Nah. Stafford is a top 1-3 QB and the Lions rarely get 11 wins.Foo wrote:Of course, I would never say otherwise. Stafford in the top 3, lol get the fuck out of here. He is in that "above average" 10-15 tier.
That said, the Lions misuse him as much as much as any team misuses a player. Strongest arm in the league and they run a system built for an Alex Smith type:

Ew. I bet he is Jacksonville-bound with Coughlin being VP and an amazing defense intact for a couple more years.Foo wrote:Can someone photoshop Eli Manning into a Broncos jersey please? I need to see what that looks like.
Denver isn't competing for anything in the near future. They need to draft a guy.

Giants shit all over Eli. For Geno Smith :x
Re: NFL 2017 season
I didn't realize a fan-based, popularity-contest voting system indicated QB greatness. Who won the most QB challenges in the 80s and 90s? Those gotta be the best QB grading methods. 100% 100%Foo wrote:Uh, who puts Stafford in their top 3? Fucked up move. Worst way to end that consecutive start streak. Not even in playoff contention, not even benched for a rookie up-and-comer. Dick move.Tiggnutz wrote:Giants shit all over Eli. For Geno Smith :x

They should just cut him now. They've already telegraphed that they're tanking for a QB next year, seems cruel to keep him around at this point.Tiggnutz wrote:Giants shit all over Eli. For Geno Smith :x

Re: NFL 2017 season
They are voted by coaches, players, and fans. Not saying they are accurate grading methods, I am saying that in his decade in the league, he has only been selected one time to be among the top 25-30% of the league QBs and you are claiming he is top 3.Jason wrote:I didn't realize a fan-based, popularity-contest voting system indicated QB greatness. I put him at two behind Rodgers. The Lions are not a popular team, therefore, fewer votes. Case Keenum will probably make the Pro Bowl. Think he's the reason the Vikings are 9-2?
