Overall it was decent a very low end C+. I watched Hearts in Atlantis yesterday and that was a C grade though Hope Davis did look great in it.

After some thoughts Hearts in Atlantis is a C- it's not very good

After some thought going to drop Storm of the Century to a C

True Detective Night Country episode 1

Underwhelming as all hell. Doesn't hold a candle to the first season and wasn't expecting it to, but it's toeing the line of watchability. I'm just one episode in but there are only 6 episodes. It's in the same league as season two at the moment and that is not a good sign. Acting is mundane, most of the characters aren't believable. The worst of them all is the overly snarky, anti-white, Missy-Elliott-with-an-attitude, chip-on-her-shoulder, female cop manhandling dudes twice her size both while making an arrest and in the bedroom. There's only so much reality I can suspend.

Night Country is by far the worst season to me. Waste of time IMO. Season 2 is a mess but at least it’s always interesting.

I'm gonna watch season 2 after season 4. If I can even get through it. I'm on the second episode and can barely sit through it. Fuck. What a letdown.

if it really is that bad, you may want to avoid the next season of true detective to come as that showrunner is set to return.

I hated True Detective: Night Country. It wasn't just a letdown it was just plain stupid. Other people loved it but I just can't figure out why.

B- is about where I landed. Denzel and some cool set pieces did the heavy lifting. Everything else fell flat for me.

Denzel was solid and their was some quality fight scenes. Some of that CGI was atrocious I was surprised by that.
