Amber and I always seek out movies from the 70s and 80e for the New York grimeyness. She is obsessed with the New York of when we were kids.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:No, it's not a particularly good movie, but there's something in the atmosphere and vibe that keeps me coming back. Fantastic movie. I think I've only seen it twice, but I consistently rate it high.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:No, it's not a particularly good movie, but there's something in the atmosphere and vibe that keeps me coming back. It's a nostalgic childhood favorite. I always watched it back to back with The Terminator because my parents had both films on the same recorded vhs tape.Jigsaw wrote:Fantastic movie. Watching I was a Teenage Zombie, 1987. It's a hoot so far. Horrible sound quality on Amazon.

Same. It's nothing amazing, but I fucking love it and don't know why.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:No, it's not a particularly good movie, but there's something in the atmosphere and vibe that keeps me coming back. I've always liked it's seedy 80's NY feel.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Now C.H.U.D.

Re: October Challenge 2020 Discussion Thread
Emily is much more attractive in 2. The lack of a wig probably helps, but it's also like they let her be prettier rather than holding her back in the first so Ginger can shine more.

Not the best choice for something new. I suggest giving 1 Must Fall a watch on Tubi to help cleanse the palate afterwards.Tiggnutz wrote:Needed something new so settled on The Strangers: Prey at Night

Maybe I'm the only one, but I legitimately think The Strangers 2 far outshines the first movie, and there's not a doubt it my mind.

I don't recall Strangers 2 being bad. Not great, but definitely not bad.
