OKC is looking to send Melo to Miami, Houston, or LAL. He was fun to watch but it just wasn't working. At his age, he might have done better if he wasn't too proud to come off the bench.

Hopefully Loss Angeles. They missed out on Cousins, but acquiring a lazy, over-the-hill Melo is an ideal move to fit in with the rest of the bums they chose to accompany LeBron in free agency.

They actually turned down Cousins who wanted to sign there for peanuts.

Most teams would. Really, if you were going to gamble on him, you would rather it be for two years. The Warriors obviously feel they are good enough to waste the roster spot, but I don't get it.

To troll the league, because they can. They would win the title next year with Nate Thurmond's corpse at center.

1. "Legit think"? Since when has "legit" been an adverb... :|

2. Source? He's getting paid jack shit and they gave him a one year deal, how have they been show to value him like a "god"?

Because they are afraid of LeBron and the Lakers.

That doesn't make any sense, Jason . . .

Man, the 2016 cap spike was just horrible for the NBA. Amazing to look back on the awful 2016 contracts handed out in free agency. Nobody has any money now. Gifted the Warriors KD and screwed everyone else. Someone like Marcus Smart would get an offer sheet for something like 4 years, 60 million two years ago. Now he'll get a cheap qualifying offer for something like 5-6 million dollars. Nice job, players' union.

Exactly what people said would happen.

Tough to say where the NBA is headed. The players having so much control is really interesting.

He's gonna be reduced to backup point guard, too. As if the humbling couldn't be any more harsh, this dude was looking at a 9-figure pay day not so long ago.

Gives them much needed bench scoring, but not gonna help their already bad defense any. Still good value.

Kawhi's gone to Toronto. Good luck keeping him there.

Smart move by Toronto. Either they somehow are able to keep Kawhi, or by dumping DeRozan they accelerate their rebuild. It's a good outcome in either case.

Really? Looks to me like it's anything but treading water. Either raise the ceiling of the current team as Kawhi is a much better player than DeRozan, or even if he leaves next summer you've managed to dump DeRozan's bad contact without much blowback and can start to seriously rebuild.

I cant see Kawhi signing there long term unless Derozan was still going to be there.
