Hausu was fantastic, as always. If you've not seen it, and want to see perhaps the wildest, craziest movie out there, give Hausu a shot.

So where can I view this Sam Neill Possession? Looks like it's not on Amazon video, even to rent.
Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
those three were decent horror flicks. i really liked edwige fenech's character in 'your vice...' (she was in all three) but none of them are new favorites or anything.Jigsaw wrote:Zombs, what did you think about your little Italian marathon? Any standouts?

https://vimeo.com/170111191 <-- that looks like the best online that i could find (it's terrible). but slaughter or havok could probably get you better, if you want to go that way.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:So where can I view this Sam Neill Possession? It's based on the first book of a trilogy, so there's alot left unexplained, but they're not gonna make any more movies.showa58taro wrote:The ending is also very weird. Very weird.

So, like Master & Commander: The Far Side Of the World, where the whole movie is just a setup for more, but didn't make enough money?Slaughterhouserock wrote:It's based on the first book of a trilogy, so there's alot left unexplained, but they're not gonna make any more movies.showa58taro wrote:The ending is also very weird. Didn't know what that was until I looked it up, but when I saw The Ring vs. The Grudge, I audibly groaned and x-ed IMDb out. By all means, enjoy though.zombie wrote:found sadako vs. kayako on shudder. probably gonna have to give it a watch, followed by freddy vs. jason.

there has to be something more to it than them making faces through their hair and crawling on the floor toward each other, right?Jigsaw wrote:Didn't know what that was until I looked it up, but when I saw The Ring vs. The Grudge, I audibly groaned and x-ed IMDb out. Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
There are so many different Ju-on (The Grudge) and Ringu (The Ring) movies that even if I wanted to try to get into that type of J-horror, I don't know if I feasibly could, especially with Ringu and Rasen (the original sequel, from my understanding) being released at the same time, but Ringu 2 comes along, and Rasen becomes virtually forgotten. Just a messy series, it seems, from my little research.

Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
And then there's a South Korean remake of Ringu just a year later called Ring, and it just seems unnecessarily confusing.
