Black Hole Sun sounds like Aerosmith recorded a studio version of the song and Soundgarden snuck in and stole all the tapes and destroyed them and then recorded their own cover version of the song.

Never once got an Aerosmith vibe from that song.

Hey Reign and Seb! Are you excited to hear Kirk Hammett's solo EP project, Portals? All instrumental (4 songs), started as a project to have original music on loop for his horror displays.
Haven't heard a taste yet, but I'm very curious.

Didn't even know he was doing that. His dumbass didn't lose his fucking cell phone this time, eh? I'll be on the lookout.

LMAO! Jesus H, that's what you stroll back in with?
I've actually been worried about you, so you're an asshole, btw.

I dig it, even though the progression is very familiar (some say Iron Maiden's To Tame A Land, I think it goes further back than that, but yeah definitely sounds like To Tame A Land). Loved how it made naysayers eat their words predicting it would be nothing but sloppy wah. That was a tasty well thought out solo too.

Grew up on songs such as "A Horse with No Name", "You Can Do Magic", and "Ventura Highway". Didn't hear "Sister Golden Hair" until later in life, but definitely some great music.

I'm on a Blue Öyster Cult binge. I decided to dive a little deeper into their catalog, as I've only heard about 20 or so songs from them. I discovered Shooting Shark, which was pretty good and 7 Screaming Diz-Busters which was a really fun, upbeat rocker. I started discovering more and more really good songs (E.T.I., Monsters, White Flags, Then Came The Last Days Of May, I'm On The Lamb But I Ain't No Sheep, etc...,) and once I discovered The Vigil, I said "fuck it" and decided to download their entire discography from the 70s and 80s. Might even download the other 3 albums from the 90s-present once I get to listening to those albums. What an incredibly underrated band. So glad I took a dive into their deeper cuts.
You guys should give these a listen, tell me what you think. I'm having trouble just narrowing it down to a select few. There are so many I want to share. The Vigil might be my favorite song from them.
