One of the reasons why I mentioned the greatness of Cynthia Rothrock the other night is because her stuff was appropriate. Even as an amazing real world martial artist, she was using speed, weapons, and tactics in her fighting and still struggling to defeat men, often times needing help for the big baddie.

other than the real martial artist thing, all of that is true of most female action characters i can think of. unless they are superpowered in some way, in the context of the story. (often times even then, they still do to a degree at least)

i don't know. i can separate fiction from reality. i don't need to have a real superhero cast in the superhero movies, to find value in them.
