I was expecting something short and simple given the year it was released. It was neither. M could have easily come out 20 or 30 years later. That's a movie I want to own.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Fuckin AMonster wrote:I watched M yesterday. It now ranks pretty high on my 30s list.

I'm doing something with these lists. Not every decade will be weighed equally.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

Does order matter here? I think mine are in 1-10 order to be fair. Give or take.

The Sword of Swords (1968). Pretty enjoyable Shaw Brothers kung-fu movie.Headhunter wrote:What the fuck is that? Can't even find it on Google.

Working on this as I type. Maybe I can make the hard decisions (Happy Gilmore or The Edge) easier while high *shrugs*

Yeah, not by much. I think the story is better, better supporting characters across the board. Less restrained. Wynthorpe, Ophelia, Mortimer and Randolph, Clarence Beeks, and even Coleman is strong.Headhunter wrote:Trading Places over Coming to America?
The main chick in Coming to America is pretty weak. John Amos is awesome. The landlord is great. Arsenio is strong, but also overshadowed. James Earl Jones is capable, but his lines are not so great.

Definitely close. I think the barber shop scenes put Coming to America over the top for me.Foo wrote:Yeah, not by much. I think the story is better, better supporting characters across the board. JLC letting those puppies loose in a comedy has to be considered. Rather unexpected.Headhunter wrote:Definitely close. Let's do a gofundme to make "Coming to Wakanda".
Black Panther is outraged after finding plastic straws from McDowell's on Wakanda's beaches. He orders an invasion of Zamunda to stop King Akeem's evil empire.
