los angeles is 3.2%. with the state at 4.4%. texas has 4% for comparison sake. and reportedly texas has more fires?

If the roles were reversed and they tried to implement more white people in random shit it would also be annoying. If they remake Friday and replace Ice Cube and Chris Tucker with a couple of white actors I'd be equally annoyed. With that said, I'd argue the prejudice is now in the hiring process itself.
i don't know. i've seen it happen both ways, in movies. hollywood historically shut out minorities until pretty recently. this is definitely not at all to do with quality or ability to act or perform.
Wasn't James Dean a raging bisexual? Also, I don't think minority hispanics or butch lesbians were lining up to play Nosferatu. Lol

Lot of artists in the industry have historically been gay. Couldn’t be openly acknowledged as gay until recently though.

i don't know. minorities should have the opportunities that anyone else has, if they are qualified for those opportunities. if you have no particular issue with race or gender swapped roles, then that's a good way to go. diversity is our strength! :P

When more effort is put into placing minority gays and lesbians in roles, and less on writing a quality product, you're not gonna have a quality product. I also don't care to watch gay people make out on screen. That sort of thing ain't my bag baby.

sure, bad writing is bad writing. some people don't like scenes of kissing or intimacy at all. we all have our own boats to float.

Ghost is probably the only chick flick I can roll with and say is truly excellent. The horror elements and Swayze being awesome definitely helps with that.

This conversation always baffles me. Do you advocate casting Tim Curry, Stanley Tucci and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in half the shit they've made or not?

Should've got a real transvestite from transylvania to play that role. Instead they cast white male Tim Curry.

Travesty
