Well, he doesn't call plays on offense for one . . .
The combination of good coaching and smart players who execute the same plays everyone else runs can be a thing of beauty. A QB who understands the offense, is patient, will throw guys open, etc. will also have that effect.Jason wrote:Are we supposed to pretend that his playcalling doesn't result in uncovered receivers on almost every down?
I can drive a corvette faster than Jeff Gordon can drive a Prius. I must be the better driver.Foo wrote:The combination of good coaching and smart players who execute the same plays everyone else runs can be a thing of beauty. I guarantee Bronco receivers were open a lot this season because they have talented players. A QB not seeing them, not throwing on time, not throwing with accuracy, tends to make it look like guys are covered more than they are.
Another useless stat. Only counts WR, doesn't account for how deep the throws are, etc... what about the crossing route where Brady hands it off to the receiver running in front of him in shotgun after the snap? How does the stat account for that?Headhunter wrote:
Average yards of separation for wide receivers at the QB's release this season. The Pats are actually close to the bottom. Also of note from this chart: Tyreek Hill is really really fast.
That's not what a crossing route is and it doesn't happen enough for it to make any statistical impact whatsoever, so it doesn't matter.Jason wrote:Another useless stat. More useless nonsense.
Doubtful they would count shovel passes anyway since the chart is meant to show coverage separation and that is not really coverage.Headhunter wrote:That's not what a crossing route is and it doesn't happen enough for it to make any statistical impact whatsoever, so it doesn't matter.Jason wrote:Another useless stat. Pretty much. Because of his build, he's more of a threat with swing passes/screens etc. but DeSean is still the best deep ball WR of his generation.Foo wrote:Just looked up Tyreek Hill highlights. He looks like a thicker Desean Jackson.
I was at my buddy, Frostys house. We called him Frosty because he looked like the abominable snowman monster in frosty the snowman. Lol.Jason wrote:20 years ago today...
I remember exactly where I was.
