Most mock drafts I've seen (as useless as they are) have Darnold going #1 overall, but have Josh Rosen falling to Denver. Might be p. cool. Would much rather see Splooge get a chance behind at least a shitty o-line, but whatevs.

Yes, they should skip out on the best QB class since 2004 to stick with one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL who Denver would take a 7th round pick to be rid of.

Splooge would win 6+ rings in N.E., and that isn't even debatable.

Baker Mayfield is supposed to be the 3rd best QB in this draft, you already have piss reserved to dump on his grave for when he dies, and this is the best QB draft class since 04?

What's all this nobsense about pooping on graves. Josh Allen can have a great career and life and I'll have no problem with that.

You wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. And he is the 3rd best QB in the draft of the best QB draft in 15 years.

I wouldn't take him but that's my opinion and all I said was he's considered the 3rd best QB in the draft by most pundits, which aren't predictions of how their careers go anyway. He could end up being a star, I have no idea. There are five QBs in the draft who are supremely gifted in different ways and could be great players, that's a good QB draft. That doesn't mean I'm saying thry'll all pan out.

You don't watch college football anyway so not sure how you could have an opinion on this class relative to others one way or the other.

I even said I personally thought Baker was the third best QB, what have you been reading?

Redskins trade for Alex Smith, promptly sign him to a new contract guaranteeing him 71 million dollars. So the Redskins spent an entire draft for RG3 and 45 million dollars for two years of Cousins and both are gone. And now they're committed for four years to an aging game manager for big money.

My goodness what a lousy franchise that is. Their fans should actually quit.

Browns tried trading for Alex Smith, too. Lol

Probably says more about how much Cousins was demanding than it does about the Redskins futility.

You're missing the big picture, it never should have gotten to this point. That bridge was already burned by the Redskins' incompetent management last year. This is a fuck up six years in the making, they've gotten nothing right every step of the way.

Now they have to pay Alex fucking Smith for four years and had to give up a valuable draft pick and great young corner for the "pleasure". That franchise deserves to burn.

Redskins are second only to the Browns in incompetent management.

Until they de-racist their name I hope all their decisions continue to suck.

You still have to make a deal with the guy. If he is holding you hostage by demanding he be the highest paid QB in the league by far, and his talent does not warrant it, what are you supposed to do?

The Redskins obviously wanted to get a deal done because they tagged him, but it takes two to tango. If they look at him and don't see a franchise QB who can carry you to a Super Bowl, what would you be saying if they paid him like one? I don't watch the game anymore, so I can't speak to whether or not they gave up too much to get Smith.

Again missing the big picture. This didn't happen because of money, they were willing to make him the highest paid QB in the league. He turned down their offers out of spite because he hates Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder. And if you're right that they didn't view Cousins as a franchise QB but do view Smith that way (71 million guaranteed) that's more evidence that franchise doesn't have a clue.

Uh, you don't need to watch football to understand that paying mediocre Alex Smith as a top 5 QB, and giving up a very good young corner and a Day 2 pick to do so is a horrible deal. It's one of the worst deals in my lifetime. The Redskins are pathetic.

Buckle up for Kirk Cousins to Denver, folks. Somehow, the Broncos have convinced themselves that they are a QB away, even though they have virtually no young talent, their stars are aging, and the offense is gross.

John Elway is the worst.

Does Denver have that kind of scratch to sign him?

They do but not without creating new roster holes. The thought is that Talib, Sanders and CJ will all be cap casualties at which point they will have room for Kirk.

If I were Kirk, I would be more interested in Minnesota or Jacksonville. Not sure of their level of interest, I just know Elway is begging Cousins to come take his money.
