Not sure how much longer I've got, guys. The great news is I'm not bleeding internally and it's been 72 hours since the bleeding, I could be discharged as early as tomorrow, which is the most concerning part at the moment, but my factor v deficiency isn't good. I have to be on blood thinners for life because of it, and it made this bleeding episode nearly kill me. Now they're deciding whether or not to even put me back on Coumadin. It's a crazy predicament. I've developed new clots. One in my portal vein. It's hard to know what to expect.

What? The thinners caused the bleeding? Or the clots keep cropping up? Sounds absurdly complex. Sorry man.

Not sure the thinners caused the bleeding, but when you're on thinners, you're at risk for more bleeding. So I almost bled out and died because of the thinners. The cause is unknown. They said they discovered a clot in my portal vein. Not sure if that was the cause or not. All I know is this is shitty, and I could be in trouble.

Possibly not remembering clearly but what’s causing all the clots?

Hang in there, Jason! Zombie, please post one of those workplace motivational posters with a kitten dangling off something...
Many people live long great lives with such conditions. Just gotta be more careful than most.

Home and showered finally. Have a hernia in the groin area. Been there a long time. Finally showed the nurses and they said I can live with it or get surgery if I want. I can live with it. I'm sick of surgery. DVTs. Pulmonary Embolisms. Just want to live my life.
