What happens next?

An innocent 17 year old muslim girl was brutally murdered in Virginia last week while walking home from her mosque. Instantly the anti-muslim speculation began but as it turns out it was a thugged out illegal immigrant who didnt like her walking in front of his car so he beat her to death with a bat. Interesting to see how this is handled by the media now that we know it wasnt a racist american who did it.

I saw some fake news facebook outlets doing this, but all of the major networks I saw coverage on this has used caution and immediately reported that it was probably road rage when details came out. *shrugs* I think I saw Ivanka jumping the gun, and she aint the media.

Hasn't Trump called some shit like this Muslim attacks and then it turned out not to be? I know I have seen that with a girl who was backpacking, and another one I can't remember offhand.

With any luck it just gets reported as the sad tragedy it is.

In London an actual terror attack on a Mosque has been reported and is covered with the same attention it deserves.

Just look at how it is being framed. Her religion is mentioned numerous times, including twice in the headline. Then they drop some Donald Trunp references into it and the hack job is complete. Very typical.

I would like the headline to be innocent girl dies a vicious horrible death at the hands of someone who had no right to be here and might of been prevented had we taken illegal immigration more seriously in the past. But the chance to link racism was way too enticing for the media.

just as when terrorists and murderers happen to be muslim, the focus should be on the specific attacker(s), not on playing a blame game to frighten people and turn them against a larger group. (unless that is a terrorist group as well, but muslims or immigrants or conservatives) i really don't like this trend of always looking for a larger boogeyman to tie everything to.

Because it doesn't have a broader relevance to society?

I would think someone in your country illegally beating a teenage girl to death with a bat would have a very broad relevance.

"Trump ate dinner with his family and didn't tell us. We are the media. It is important he tells us these things. He could've died."

So relevant to society, that media reporting.

Stories about someone finding a noose get at least a week of nonstop coverage.

I am really glad the media is keen on covering relevant stories.

The media has disgraced itself into irrelevance and during a time in history when it's probably needed most. CNN BREAKING NEWS BANNON FAT SHAMES SPICER! also in the news North Korea murders US citizen, congressman shot and Russian plane buzzes US plane within 5 ft. :D

Yeah, not seeing how kidnap and rape fit the road rage description.

Her memorial was also set on fire today.

Just disgusting all of it. I would execute then deport the illegal than find the scum who did that to her memorial and drop the hammer on them no mercy.

No real coverage of the memorial fire leads me to believe its thought to be an accident most likely.

The polarization has gotten beyond toxic. The late 60s-early 70s are back. I fully expect political domestic terrorism to become a problem the Feds will have to deal with.
