Hosting Sites NOT NAMED Photobucket?

Photobucket has been my primary source of image hosting for the last 13 years. I have 7 accounts there, because I've been using it for so long, and their bandwidth was entirely smaller than it is today. At one point they were extremely reliable, quick and easy to use.
Now when you login, the page takes way too long to load, you can't view the direct URL to the image without being redirected to the entire site where it embeds it for you unless you embed it in IMG tags on a forum, and now they're going to start charging people 400 dollars a year to enable "3rd party hosting". This started June 10th, and it finally reached one of my accounts. I can't view, embed or post an image on a site without it telling me to give them 400 dollars. The example is below. I have so many important images saved and hosted to photobucket, but it's clear I'm going to have to move them out of there, somehow. I haven't tried hosting it to any other sites, and I'm not even sure if it's going to let me. I think they locked all my images into the account, and the only way to view them is to login to the account, now. The point of this thread was to see if anybody knows of a good image hosting website that will allow you to post your images and not have to worry about your account getting locked or the pictures getting deleted over time. I love imgur.com for a really quick hosting option, like when I'm going to post a meme or something. You don't even need an account there. The problem is, I don't know if they delete these images over time or not. I've never kept track of them.
Whoever has a photobucket account that they use for important images, and photobucket hasn't found and locked your account yet, get the hell out of there NOW. Host them anywhere, save them to your computer, just get the hell out of there before they lock your shit and make you pay 400 dollars to get your images back.
I am fucked.

I'm making this an announcement for a day or so. I want to make sure everybody sees this in case some of us have important images that are only saved to a photobucket account. I believe D uses photobucket for his art pictures and stuff. If they lock his account, and he doesn't have a backup, he may not be able to share his image through photobucket, or even attempt to host it to another image hosting site. I'm gonna do a little more digging tonight, but this is fucked.

3rd party hosting means you linked the image from another site rather than uploaded it directly to photobucket to host.

That's what I thought. But it doesn't make sense. Images I posted years ago are all of a sudden giving me that same notice in the example I posted above, even though it is hosted through photobucket.

The example that I posted was the Magic (1978) HMF Banner that I created from scratch, saved to my computer and hosted to photobucket directly. But it is doing this for every single image in that account, and there are hundreds upon hundreds of images. I have like 5 other accounts that they haven't gotten to yet, but my primary account that I use now is the one they got to.

do you have any photos on that account that you used a link to upload the picture instead of uploading it directly from your computer? If so, delete those and the others should work again.

I have no idea of knowing what was saved first or hosted through a different link. This account is 13 years old with hundreds of images. The only thing I know for sure that was hosted through my saved pictures was the shit I created in photoshop. That's all I know of. There are hundreds upon hundreds of images on this account.

then start a new account and don't upload anything by linking it from another site, problem solved.

HA! I'm never using photobucket again after this fucking fiasco. I need to find another image hosting site.

my one photobucket seems to work fine. and everything that i've read says that there is still a free version for photobucket. but you can upgrade, with more space for images. ($400 per year is the cost for the most space option), but i hope that you figure out what works for you best.

Unphotobucketing my images is plan A. How fucking stupid is this?
I'm entirely certain I've uploaded pictures from sites that don't even exist anymore. What is the point of this 3rd party hosting horse shit? It's now a photobucket image and URL. Who gives a fuck where it came from?
And yep, I've tried uploading the images to a new site, and the image that comes up is that same exact photobucket 3rd party notice in my example image in the first post.

I'm going to have to pay them 400 dollars if I ever want to see those images again.

http://photobucket.com/p500/ <-- is the link that they ask you to visit for more info on that image above.
"What is 3rd Party Hosting?
Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website. For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, a blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting." <--- taken from that site.
so maybe they take issue with embedding now? *testing below*
