I cannot fucking wait for this. This may also be a sign he will take on other horror-ish projects in the future as he has a tendency to get stuck on genres/subgenres when he gets into them.

I'm still fuzzy on the Manson murders. Seems there is a lot of speculation on what actually happened. It's not like the Zodiac killer where we know exactly what went down in every killing, how it was performed, etc...

Would love to see this go down!

Semi-crazy idea:
Tarantino should cast Shia as Charlie Manson. Guy might actually be going insane and is a really passionate method actor who has more chops than he gets credit for. Tarantino loves a comeback story.

I heard Margot Robbie is now a front-runner for the Tate role (and backed by Tate's sister). Not that I want to see her get sliced and diced, but anything her exquisitely beautiful ass is in is instantly elevated.

Some guy popped off on Reddit a week ago claiming to have seen the script. He said Tarantino does his alt history spin on it and has Sharon Tate survive the attack and Kill Bill the whole Manson family. Used parts from an unproduced Kill Bill 3 script he supposedly wrote at some point.
I don't believe it and I also hope it's BS. There is plenty of material in the real story to make a great movie without QT needing to pull out another revenge angle. Would cheapen a story that has never been told well in movies/TV yet too.

Hmmm. Maybe not that crazy. Sure, doesn't look like him, but Shia does seem due to break out in serious territory. I haven't seen any of his newer stuff, but I do understand he's been pushing himself harder than the snarky not-so-everyman Spielberg and Disney tried to push.
Watched Kingdom of the Crystal Skull again last weekend. Still don't hate it, but Shia's performance was still on my bad list in that, trying to buy him as a 50's biker, lulz. (the bad CGI and Mac were my other bits of annoyances after a decade of settling).
In short, yeah I think Shia needs some sort of break and I think it's a ballsy idea to cast him if they go that route. QT could make magic with it.

Update: It's called Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and apparently the Manson murders will be but one subplot to a story about 1969 Hollywood in general.

So far Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in. This has been QT's passion project for years apparently so I expect quite a few more stars.

I hope QT's Star Trek isn't his last project.
