EDIT: The entire Sawyer family qualifies. Chop Top and Drayton both up there.

I've got to stop responding to threads I don't read...clearly Franklin's annoying ass need not apply for this list.Headhunter wrote:Franklin in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre lmao

That image did not work.
Evil sidekick in a horror film? I feel like you don't often get many sidekicks in horror really. It's either ensemble or solo. It's usually in kids cartoons where you get a real sidekick thing. Like Beebop to Shredder or that kind I think of sidekicks like that really. In horror the closest I can think of are other cenobytes in Hellraiser films. I'd say that's the closest thing I can find.

Freddy vs Jason... Was Jason the sidekick? If so, then he should be up high.

Surely Freddy was the sidekick. Jason was the star there.Jmac Attack wrote:Freddy vs Jason... Was Jason the sidekick? If so, then he should be up high.

Re: Horror movie sidekicks
i don't think it was just about evil sidekicks. the stoner from cabin in the woods was mentioned.

So non-main characters? Both sides of the aisle?zombie wrote:i don't think it was just about evil sidekicks. the stoner from cabin in the woods was mentioned.

Re: Horror movie sidekicks
yeah, it would probably help if they were kind of following along with the lead. or lead villain. not just any supporting character.showa58taro wrote:So non-main characters? Re: Horror movie sidekicks
angela would probably kind of be the sidekick in sleepaway camp, up until it's revealed what's actually going on. or maybe it's one movie that focuses on the sidekick? i don't know.

Re: Horror movie sidekicks
Out of the list posted, I dig:
Stu (Scream)
Chop Top (TCM2)
Ed (Shaun Of The Dead)
Rod (Get Out)
Evil Ed (Fright Night 85)
Off the top of my head that I would add:
TC Quist (The Howling) - runt of the litter, but totally memorable. Supported his big sister's goals of man-stealing too. Memorable line: "See what you're friend did to me!?!!?!?!?"
Severen (Near Dark) Technically followed Jesse's lead. Memorable Line: "Hey Jesse, remember that fire we started in Chicago?" though there's tons of good ones.
Shelly (Friday the 13th Pt III) - The goofy roommate tag-a-long that needed a date fixed up by his more confident buddy Andy. And he can best his buddy at juggling. Memorable line: "Oh they said they were skinny dipping, and I'm not skinny enough."
