jason, have you seen cabrini? i don't really have an interest to see sound of freedom, but this movie looks like it could be worth a look. just curious about your opinion.

I've never heard of it. Is there a correlation between the two movies? Sound of Freedom was partially inspired by a true story about fighting child trafficking and exposing the horrors of it that for some reason the industry tried to erase before it could be seen. I still don't know why. Reading about Cabrini, the plot line sounds pretty interesting. I wouldn't NOT watch it. Are the movies similar in some way?

same director and studio, i think. and both are based on actual people.

and the industry didn't try to erase it. some critics didn't like it and the star and guy who it was based on acted like asses so that didn't help with the dislike. but it's all over amazon. so no, there was no real attempt at erasure.

As far as I know the movie was made 10 years ago and barely hit theaters a couple years ago. They kept it shelved for a long time and I can understand the frustration. There is a message at the end credits of the movie that is pretty profound. It was better than I expected.

oh, that. i guess it's fair to try to spin that way because of that. fox got pulled into disney before the release. and disney didn't think it would be profitable (clearly they were wrong) so another studio bought the rights and spun it as a conspiracy to help market the film. and it worked.

You haven't seen the original? That one is a classic. I also enjoyed the sequel Omen II. The third one was kind of boring imo.
