I see it as a desperation move by Disney because they had to shitcan Kang the Conquerer for beating on women. I don't want to see Robert's legacy tarnished by some goofy multiverse story but that's what I forsee. Hope I'm wrong

that's fair. it will probably have to be some kind of alternate tony stark kind of thing, so if you don't like multiverse then that would probably be a turn off. but i'm more hopeful that they'll pull it off with the writer and directors involved with the avengers stuff. but i don't know about if he shows up sooner than that in some other film,

I like Downey and think he'd be good in the role, but it could also be that he was gonna be at the con anyway and they didn't want to reveal who would be playing Doom, so just had him don the mask. I'm fine with it either way.

I’m really disappointed and will refuse to watch it. Nothing against RDJ, I like him but he’s already Iron Man in the MCU so this casting choice is just fucking lazy and stupid of Disney.

Mostly don’t care but I would love to know what they had to pay him after saying he was done with superheroes and that he had to learn how to act again for Oppenheimer.

super lazy and unimaginative. If they were going to double dip actors in the universe, they really should've gotten Mads for Dr. Doom, he'd have been perfect. Instead we get the RDJ show again. Which of course will be entertaining, but yet again Doom doesn't feel like he's going to be adapted well.
