I like that idea.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 7:47 am After the challenge, maybe we should do/compile the HMF Top 100 Horror Flicks list again. Definitely be more skewed because of smaller sample size, but fuck it.
Correct. We all do a top 25, and then it's a weighted list. Your #1 film receives 25 points, #2 receives 24 points and so on, add it all up and we have a top 100.
I enjoy making lists this would be funReign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:06 amCorrect. We all do a top 25, and then it's a weighted list. Your #1 film receives 25 points, #2 receives 24 points and so on, add it all up and we have a top 100.
Now, with a small sample size it's obviously skewed. But it still represents the site as we are. I think we all know Nightmare on Elm Street is going to do well and likely take #1 or #2, but that's because some of our most prominent members are ardent fans, where it's getting 100 points out the gate. But thinking on it, some of those members aren't here anymore and tastes have changed, so maybe not. Could be interesting.
Then when we do this I want you to add up all the friggin scores and such.Tiggnutz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:09 amI enjoy making lists this would be funReign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 9:06 amCorrect. A spreadsheet would be the way to go, it basically does the math for you and a chart can be created based off that data.Slaughterhouserock wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 10:21 amI don't. Charts, tables, spreadsheets, sure. Numbered lists? Not so much.

Yesssss I’ve been wanting to put together a new top 25. It’s been what, 15 years since we last did this?Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 7:47 am After the challenge, maybe we should do/compile the HMF Top 100 Horror Flicks list again. Yeah, probably closer to 20. I remember the Descent and Devil's Rejects placing well as hot tickets at the time, not much released after (horror also went on a big downslide post '05 I see), so I want to say we did it probably 2006.Headhunter wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 3:08 pmYesssss I’ve been wanting to put together a new top 25.
