Day one of going without anything mint-related that I can inhale, to see if the mild anaphylactic shit going on means I have an allergy to inhaled mint oils now, seems successful as the general neck swelling seems to have eased up compared to yesterday.
I've been trying to figure out what the hell's been causing this for several months, as far back as May-ish. Lots of neck pain occurs when it's feeling tight, my tongue feels bigger, and my sinuses swollen, but the usual pollen suspects are eased up with nasal sprays and something else has been getting through. Got excited about the peppermint line-ups for body wash being in season, got some last week, and it noticeably got worse. Then I realized for the past several months, I've been using the Spearmint/Eucalyptus bodywash.
My experiment's going to be for 2 weeks without it (I got a non-minty related wash in the meantime), but one day and it already feels eased up. Fucking aye, possibly allergic to mint scents now?
Gotta love sudden allergies that show up later in life. I'm now allergic to cats. Never used to be, but now I get all sorts of fucked up if I pet one. Also allergic to ace-k(artificial sweetener). Came outta nowhere as it was in the protein powder that I had been using daily for years. That one took forever to figure out. Now I gotta read the labels on everything to make sure that shit isn't in there.
Hope that's all it is and you can work around it.
Yep. Later-in-life allergies blows. On one hand I'm glad it seems immune to nasal sprays and benedryl types, because I can try to focus on it, but it also sucks because allergy meds I have don't seem to have much of an effect to make it go away I don't think I've dealt with inhaled-allergens before, other than pollen that has been easy to combat (well, "easy"). At least ingested can be fought with a simple pink pill.

Goodbye Horses is actually not a bad song to crank, casually. But it's entirely associated with our mans Buffalo Bill sewing up dead womens' skins and dancing in makeup. No chance. I'll jam silently in my head.
