I don't know much about Brian Thompson and there's no info yet on the shooter or his/her motives (this person has yet to be captured) but this is fucked up. I fully support gun ownership but we do need to address gun violence which I have always believed is a symptom of the much larger mental crisis problem in this country.

it's hard to talk about solutions that could potentially have kept this from happening without knowing who the shooter is, and thus knowing nothing about their history or mental issues etc. but it is tragic regardless.

Agree. This might not be related to mental health at all but shouldn't have happened. I feel terrible for this mans family.

Best guess is this guy felt deeply disaffected by the Healthcare company and lost his mother or a loved one because they couldn't afford whatever lifesaving procedure was needed and someone died because of it.

Luckily when you register for a gun they generally don't allow "any idiot" to own a gun. Luckily too, the states with the least strict gun laws have the least amount of gun crime. Pretty easy pattern to follow for safety imo.

i think the answer runs deeper than just allow more people to play rittenhouse.
