Watching Kubrick's Barry Lyndon for the first time

i have not seen barry lyndon. surprise, surprise.

I knew nothing about this movie except it's considered a classic

Not horror. No female lead. I am floored.

by the end of 2025, i will have caught up on all of the best classics!

Not sure how a classic can have Ryan O'Neal as the lead but I have 3 hours to find out

I will give it some praise also. That beautiful Kubrick camera work and use of color is just mesmerizing. I'm digging this story too

Next up is my first viewing of In the Heat of the Night

Barry Lyndon will be a very high B possible low end B+. Cinematography, costumes and sets were all magnificent and the plot is good but it's way too long with several boring stretches. Ryan O'Neal is fine but I would of liked someone else in the lead

Lighten up, Francis.

Notice how he got way more excited by Sergeant Hulka than anything in those 14 hours of Barry Lyndon.

I see Tigg is another Peckinpah scab.
