The October Challenge - Official Guidelines

October is the ultimate month of all things horror. The challenge is simply this: How many horror films can you watch in honor of October?
The main objective is to try to watch 31 horror films in October and get in at least 16 new horror films that you haven't seen. Any more viewings will simply add to your total. You can put new viewings in bold, or let us know it's a new viewing in another way. Each participant posts one reply in the official tally thread for the current year and will gradually update it with the films you've viewed, the year the film came out and the approximate runtime.
Victory is determined by the amount of minutes watched, not amount of films. The contest runs throughout the entire month of October.
Are you up for the challenge?

I’m not doing run times as I don’t want to look them up.

Pumped. Going all-out in October is a good way to ignore problems in your real life, so looking forward to it.

I would like 50 new watches this year that would be a nice goal.

I'm only watching new things, so assuming I get my 128 I'm aiming for, I'll be seeing 128 new flicks. Should be a fun time.

Look at the two losers who throw in the towel before it even begins.

I think I'm only going to aim for a goal of 62 new-to-me horror movies, anything extra is just extra. Average of 2 new ones per day in the month.

Reaaaaaddyy! Not putting forth a goal...just watching as much as I can.
Since I've been working at my job since I've been doing the challenge,
people at work even ask my numbers and ask if I recommend anything. It's pretty legendary.

I’m usually like Reign, a 2-5 long list. Might be better this year. My personal target is 16. 8 new 8 old

Well, I have already passed that "new watch" rule..now I can stop thinking too much into this and watch old favorites that I have not seen in a long time!

Well done. The spirit of the challenge is to push new watches, but having fun and being enamored with old favorites is part of it as well. Very happy to see a new member embody the challenge so well as it was intended to be.
