Same. I bought a bunch of new horror flicks to watch, but I'm not sure if I want to ease into the new watches and go with some classics first or just jump right in and watch a bunch of new ones.

Indeed. All of my flicks will be new this year, but it's always a risk to start off with something you've not before seen.
If I recall, I started 2015 off with Long Weekend (1978), which I had expected to be good, but was very thoroughly disappointed.

I actually may start with one of the HMF suggestions, though. Found links to all of them, and it seems a good place to begin with.

Fair point - I had forgotten that. Shudder would certainly be better than the link I found.
That said, it still doesn't seem like something I want to start with. This requires additional thought.

Never thought it'd be so hard to find The Last Slumber Party (1988) online. In related news, looks like I'll be watching The Pit (1981) sometime October. Heard positive things about it.

Burnt Offerings is a flick I need to see. I'll be buying it for the challenge.
