M*A*S*H hit first tonight and I decided after watching the episode that I'm gonna watch the movie before I get too deep into the show. Not sure if it's super common or uncommon knowledge, but it was a movie a couple years before it became a TV show. I think I first realized this when I bought my M*A*S*H Complete TV Series box set years back. The box set includes the movie. I used to wonder where the "Suicide is Painless" version of the song came from since the TV theme is instrumental. I finally got curious enough to look it up and it's from the movie, and they just decided to go with the instrumental version for the TV theme since apparently the movie is a little more raw and dark.
Anybody seen the M*A*S*H movie?
