Land dispute update:
It turns out NO papers have been served to the guy on our property and it's been ready to issue since Sept 7th. The city chief or one of the main cops in town is going to issue that paper sometime before 2pm today. We're also going to the courthouse again to get another criminal trespass or whatever it is we need to get for another guy who moved a camper right beside the trailer, next to the main guy we're dealing with.
Apparently, the Sheriff is friends with the guy on our property and doesn't want to serve it. At least, that's what we're thinking the reasoning is why nothing has been done to get the guy off our land. Plus, all this shit about having a false deed, but something is gonna get served today from the city chief or whatever his rank is.
I'll know more after I get back from the court house and sometime before or after 2pm.

It's weird as hell. Apparently he was a nice old dude, with absolutely zero criminal history. What the fuck...

Terrible people can live normal lives too. Most do because they're too cowardly to act on their deranged thoughts. No need to humanize the guy. Not every killer/terrorist etc. is afforded that luxury.

Social media has made killing a bunch of people before you kill yourself seem like the in thing to do.

Wow, as I make a point about the unnecessary humanization, I find out about a weird connection to the shooter. One of the guys in my office grew up with the Paddock family, went to school with them in Sun Valley. Friends with the brother.
Guy was wealthy, a big time gambler and a really good one at that, and was known to be a genius. His insanely high intelligence was really emphasized. It's hard to imagine breaking a daily regimen of gambling and golfing to kill 50+ people.

I guess we'll never understand the brilliance of this killing?

That's your response? Ugly implication there.

Would be nice if they rob him of whatever wealth he has and distribute it to the families of the people he murdered.

Just because we like systemic analyses and hate human contact, and have jobs that push us to breaking point doesn’t mean
Oh I see it now.
