I basically got a list of statistically reliable cheap cars (both in price and repair costs), and am going off of that to search further. I think I'm mostly settled on one, but knowing me I could change my mind constantly over the next few days :p

Ive had the same Patriot since 2008 when i bought it new and all ive done to it was replace the gas tank *knocks on wood*

my understanding with theirs is they had a huge cascade of issues over the past year, AC went out twice, Starter, alternator, and a few other things I can't remember. They ended up sinking another couple grand into a car they were still paying for, it sucked for them. I think they just got had by a dealer and they overpaid for the car to begin with. And their AC is broken again.
