I was a gamer nerd, so I would know it wasn't a Megaman villain. Also, there was little chance I'd watch a romance film back in the 80's.

Sure, I watch anything now, but I hadn't even thought about that film in fucking ages. If I come across it, I'll give it a watch for ya.

I always liked Starman, even before I realized it was a John Carpenter movie. It was my introduction to Jeff Bridges to boot.

Spider-Man: No Way Home. First movie I've seen a month. Fucking hell. Was good, even though shit got spoiled for me weeks ago because people are assholes. Favorite bits: Osbourne saying the scientist meme, the MJ redemption, seeing Doc Ock and GG again.

Ultrasound. Guy driving in the rain at night runs over some nails and asks for help at the nearby house. The husband asks him to sleep with his wife, and he does, because why not, I guess. He wakes up the next day, no one's home. Some time goes by and the husband shows up telling the guy the wife is pregnant. Cut to a woman reading a script of a conversation that hasn't happened yet between the guy and the wife, and rehearsing it with a some other guy. There's also another lady that's pregnant...sometimes. The ending is questionable, but ok. More mystery than anything, but worth a watch if you're into that shit.

Dark Waters (1993)

Interesting movie. Not exactly a movie I could describe as exactly sensible, and I rather disliked the finale, but it was definitely atmospheric at times. Perhaps worth seeing for that alone, though the final product could have used some work.

X ........................ B+

Much better throwback to 70's exploitation horror than many of the other attempts I've seen. I don't see what the buzz about Mia Goth is about, she's pretty ugly and even though she was the main focus character, I didn't feel like she carried the movie. The surrounding cast was better than her, especially Jenna Ortega (who's booty looked cute as hell in those panties at the start of her porn scene - we don't get to see her nekkid though, bummer, since we see everyone else nekkid). It's gross, graphic but not over-the-top graphic, gots the nudes, and even some very slight humor. Probably my favorite Ti West flick so far.

Yeah, I dug it. See.....I think Mia Goth is hot. I agree with all other points though. The humor was nice and well done. B+ sounds about right, but I'd give it a B- because I don't see myself rewatching it a lot.

I think Ti West is a great director. He definitely has a knack for capturing the feel and looks of 70s/80s horror.

The Sleep. A group of teens get drugged and wake up to some random shit. Starts off with some bullshit text warning about how the film can fuck you up mentally, so you know it's gonna be some garbage. This is followed by about ten minutes of a group of friends covering all the bases of political nonsense(left wing, right wing, crazy wing, they've got it all). Fuck this was exhausting. Lots of yelling, lots of random closeups, a really dumb voiceover from some videos...it's just noise to me. There are a few spots where they used multiple takes, so you see the same scene, or part of a scene, twice. One of the teens is just suddenly not there for about half an hour. She didn't have anything to do, so they just left her out. They had the audacity to call this Part One, thinking there would be a sequel. This is a film that everyone involved will look back on and be embarrassed.

Also, I was writing this as the credits were rolling and holy fuckballs, even the music used is terrible. Legit fucking up notes and sloppy ass playing on a piano. Fuck this is a mess of a film.

King Richard ............................ A

Look at that, another 2021 contender better than Power of the Dog :P Out of everyone I've seen, yeah Will deserved the win, even though he made an ass of himself at the show.

The Northman ................................... A+

This was the best fuck'n movie I've seen of the 2020's so far. Based on a story that predates Hamlet, and clearly inspired Skakespear, it also has dashes of Conan the Barbarian, and ups the brutality. Amleth is the protagonist prince on revenge, but is not a clean character, he is a vicious killer. So it's like Hamlet, plus Conan, plus The Punisher. Performances are excellent, Eggers still keeps his artistic eye while elevating his action chops (it doesn't have the glacial pace of The Witch or The Lighthouse), and overall even though it's a familiar revenge story, it's still like getting a familiar meal cooked extremely well for you.

Bonus points: I don't think I ever expected to see Ethan Hawke do one hell of a Christopher Lambert impression.

Watched Frozen (2013) for the first time earlier.

Pretty solid movie. Good music, and even surprised me a little with one of the characters. Had a good time.

We watched The Unbearable Weight of Talent the other day in the theater. Wow. Great writing. Legit lol moments. I think this might be Nic Cages best performance. If not....it's certainly up there. Probably the best movie I've seen in 10 years. Now mind you.....I was seriously high on a bunch of edibles, lol. But I still think all of you will dig it.
