Anybody else read Stephen King's 11/22/63? I found it to be one of his better later-year books. Definitely a page turner.

I wish the blu ray was available at the time. Prime's streaming it looking iffy tonight.

Oh right, the blu ray doesn't exist in our region. Only DVD. Lame.

America just doesn't produce enough characters like Banister, Ferrie and Shaw anymore. All great kooks.

I'm pretty open to most theories, since most seem to at least hold a little water. The most interesting one to me is the one that the killshot was done by one of his service agents, who attempted to fire back at the shooter but fucked up. But this isn't in the movie.

It's mostly accurate in regards to Oswald's history in New Orleans. The rest is sort of a hodgepodge of different stuff, some of it less believable. I think it gets the general outline of what happened correctly though.

Yeah. And I like that it's left open ended enough.

One of the few certainties I have about the JFK case is Oswald being an intelligence asset. Every person he befriends, every good break he gets on his strange journey comes from someone who is at least peripheral to that world if not directly working in it. It's the only logical rationale behind a lot of his decision making.

Unbelievable late Jack Lemmon role.

John Candy is also flexing some acting chops that surprised people at the time. If I remember right, he was really nervous with the level of the cast that surrounded him.

Wonder why they changed Ruth and Michael Paine to Bill and Janet Williams. The other principal names were kept.
