Re: October Challenge 2023 Discussion Thread
Though I'm enjoying this, I'm disappointed reading the trivia section that this movie shares the same plot as 2015's The Final Girls, which I haven't seen yet. That's a bummer.

I think it helps that I didn’t read a synopsis just saw and clicked. Really didn’t know it was a lycanthropy film at first just assumed more like Brotherhood of the Wolf.

I think I watched (and enjoyed) that one but the valence kart year. Feels like I remember thinking it was good.DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 9:17 pm Though I'm enjoying this, I'm disappointed reading the trivia section that this movie shares the same plot as 2015's The Final Girls, which I haven't seen yet. I assumed it would be like Wolf Castle where it's a period-set werewolf film, and would be fairly shitty lol.showa58taro wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 3:08 amI think it helps that I didn’t read a synopsis just saw and clicked. Revisted Phantasm. Was going to spruce up my review (as my posted review is atrocious). Quality times as always, and one of my favorite horror movie themes.
For my thoughts on the horror films I've seen, please look here: https://jigsawshorrorcorner.wordpress.com/

Viking Wolf takes a lot of An American Werewolf in London, with a dash of Jaws, and all Norwegian

i concur, it was expertly doneDancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 8:10 pm Saw X was surprisingly pretty good. Technically better than all the others I've seen...even though there isn't a twist that hits like the first two did.

started a new watch: Invitation to Hell.
One of the cheesiest openings I've ever seen. Then I'm surprised by seeing "Directed by Wes Craven" lol. He really ran the spectrum of quality

Well that definitely was a stinker. Not sure if it's the worst Wes Craven movie I've seen, but it's definitely down there.

Checking out Malevolence. Mostly because I want to watch the sequel with my hunny bunny Alexandra Daddario right after.
