Godzilla Minus One was pretty excellent. I can concur it probably is the best Godzilla movie. It's ranked 2nd for my 2023 flicks (behind fittingly, Oppenheimer, lol)

Now I'm revisiting my childhood favorite, Godzilla 1985. Yes, the 1984 Japanese version is much better, but this has my nostalgia and I love the homeless guy subplot that seems to be completely gone from 1984, so I'm sticking with 85, dammit! Plus...Dr. Pepper.

Well, he's not non-existent in the original version, just different. I prefer his 1985 attitude.

It was tough to choose between Minus One and Oppenheimer for my favorite film of the year but I'm sticking with Minus One
