Longlegs was very good. Wow. Didn't think a movie would even rival Late Night With the Devil this year, but here we are.

does alicia witt have a big role? i liked her a lot in urban legend but then haven't really seen her in the genre since.

I'd say it's a big enough role that if you are a fan of her, it's worth going to see.

Most of the jumpscares were pretty well done. Not too many of those cheapy loud ones for no reason. Very unique movie. That's all I'll say. Going in blind is how I always prefer to see new horror and this was no exception. Generally better to go in knowing next to nothing.
